The spirit is filled into new, charred American oak barrels at an unusually low proof, allowing it to mature slowly and pick up exceptional depth and complexity from the wood.

The nose is thick and creamy, with honey and spice, leather, a touch of cocoa, a whisper of smoke and toasty oak layered over vanilla cream and butterscotch. The palate is full-bodied, delivering espresso bean, winter spice and cereal sweetness alongside a generous rye kick, ground ginger and almond oil. The finish is long and mature, closing on cereal notes and toasty, oak-driven spice.

Distilled at a National Historic Landmark site in Versailles, Kentucky, on ground where whiskey has been made since 1812, Woodford Reserve has become one of the most celebrated names in modern bourbon, made by Brown-Forman using copper pot stills sourced from Scotland. It holds the honour of being the Official Bourbon of the Kentucky Derby, a fitting nod to its reputation for old-world craftsmanship and rich, layered character.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1037/1435/7585/files/woodford-reserve-distillers-select-kentucky-straight-bourbon-whiskey-70cl.webp?v=1789259504
https://the-amber-vault.co.uk/products/woodford-reserve-distillers-select-kentucky-straight-bourbon-whiskey-70cl
