Benromach Contrasts: Organic is a small-batch, non-peated Speyside single malt made with organic barley grown at Auchlunkart farm in Speyside. Benromach was the first Scotch whisky distillery certified organic by the UK Soil Association, in 2006. Matured in virgin American oak and bottled at 46% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and natural in colour.
Nose: Sweet vanilla and ripe fruit with citrus zest, toasted malt and green apple.
Palate: Creamy, with soft pepper and butterscotch, then ground coffee, dried banana and a subtle herbal edge.
Finish: Medium-bodied and long, with aniseed and cocoa powder.
