Ordering
How old do I need to be to order?
You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol from The Amber Vault. By placing an order you confirm you are at least 18, and our carrier checks the age of the person receiving the parcel on delivery.
Are your prices in pounds and do they include VAT?
Yes. Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay.
Can I buy to resell?
Our online shop is for personal and household use only, not for resale.
Delivery
How much is delivery?
Delivery is charged by weight: £4.95 for orders up to 2 kg (usually one 70cl bottle) and £9.90 for orders over 2 kg and up to 20 kg. Full details are in our Delivery policy.
How long will my order take?
We aim to dispatch orders within 1 working day. Orders are sent by Royal Mail 48, and Royal Mail aims to deliver within 2 working days of dispatch. We will email you when your order has been dispatched.
Do you deliver outside the UK?
No, we currently deliver to UK addresses only.
What happens if I’m not in when my parcel arrives?
Alcohol can only be handed to someone aged 18 or over, so it will not be left in a safe place. Royal Mail may hold the parcel at your local delivery office or return it to us, in which case we will contact you to arrange redelivery or a refund.
Returns
Can I return something if I change my mind?
Yes, within 14 days of receiving your goods. Bottles must be unopened with seals intact, and you pay the cost of sending them back. We refund you within 14 days of getting them back. Full details are in our Returns & refund policy.
My bottle arrived damaged or I received the wrong item. What should I do?
Contact us as soon as possible with your order number and photos. We will cover the return cost and arrange a replacement or refund.
