Aberlour 14 Year Old Double Cask Matured is a Speyside single malt matured for 14 years in a combination of Oloroso sherry casks and first-fill American oak casks, then married together for a balance of fruity, spicy sherry notes and creamy vanilla.
Nose: Cloves, cardamom and camphor, followed by toffee, milk chocolate and orange peel.
Palate: Full, round and creamy, with dark cherry, fudge and mocha plus a minty freshness.
Finish: Fairly long, with lingering honey and wood spice.
