Arran Quarter Cask The Bothy Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl

Arran Quarter Cask ‘The Bothy’ takes the distillery's fruity, coastal new-make spirit through a secondary maturation in small 125-litre American oak quarter casks. The higher spirit-to-wood contact ratio accelerates extraction, delivering an aromatic, intensely fruity dram with lemon peel and candied notes on the nose, tropical pineapple, green apple and vanilla on the palate, a touch of chilli heat, and a long, spiced finish.

The Isle of Arran Distillery was founded in 1994 in Lochranza on the island's northern coast, with the first spirit run on 29 June 1995 — reviving legal whisky production on Arran after a gap of over 150 years. Bottled at natural cask strength, non-chill filtered and with no added colouring.
