Triple distilled at the Auchentoshan distillery on the banks of the Clyde and matured entirely in first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks, American Oak is a light, bright entry point into this Lowland distillery's signature smooth style, with plenty of vanilla sweetness that makes it an ideal aperitif dram. It has picked up multiple awards, including Gold at the 2020 International Spirits Challenge.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Oranges and lemons, toffee chunks and milk chocolate, with grassy notes and clotted cream.
Palate: Coconut bar flavours, citrus peel, peaches, a buttery character, golden barley and developing oak spice.
Finish: Grapefruit and toffee notes with a lasting length.
