Aultmore 12 Year Old is a distillery bottling from Dewar's 'Last Great Malts' collection, showcasing an elegant, light and fruity Speyside single malt bottled without chill filtration or added colour.
The nose is fresh and vibrant, with crunchy apples and pears, floral notes and a gentle creaminess. The palate is richer than the nose suggests, layering fruit, sweet pastry, custard and more floral notes, before a medium-length finish sees the fruit slowly fade into soft spice.
Bottled at 46% ABV, this accessible 12 year old is a fine introduction to the little-known but highly respected Aultmore distillery, tucked away near Buckie on Speyside's northern edge.
