Ben Lomond Scottish Gin is a London Dry style gin crafted in small batches at the Ben Lomond Gin Distillery in Luss, on the shores of Loch Lomond, using 11 botanicals, several of them hand-foraged locally. The bill includes juniper berries, coriander seed, orange peel, rose petals, Szechuan pepper, foraged blackcurrants and rowan berries, orris root, cassia, liquorice root and angelica root.
On the nose expect citrus orange balanced with sweet summer berries and delicate rose. The palate is incredibly smooth, with crisp juniper, zesty lemon and a hint of warming Szechuan spice, while the finish is soft and fruity, with sweet rowan berry and clean floral notes lingering.
Inspired by Ben Lomond mountain and the flora of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, this multi-award-winning gin (Silver, IWSC 2022; Silver, The Spirits Business 2020) is best served in a Gin & Tonic garnished with fresh blackberries or a twist of orange.
