BenRiach 16 Year Old The Sixteen is an unpeated Speyside single malt matured for 16 years in a combination of bourbon, sherry and virgin oak casks. Created by master blender Rachel Barrie, it is bottled at 43% ABV with natural colour and a generously fruity core, layered with creamy malt and toasted spice.
Nose: Apple turnover with brown sugar, biscuity malt, a hint of apricot and toasted oak.
Palate: Creamy barley, peach and apricot, leading to apple crumble and cooked plums.
Finish: Honeyed nuts, soft creamy malt, a touch of oak char and warming woody spice.
