Benromach 21 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from Benromach, matured for over two decades in first-fill sherry and bourbon casks. It shows the distillery's subtle smokiness alongside gentle spice and fruit.
Nose: Deep oloroso sherry, stewed plums, raspberry jam and sultanas, with orange peel, vanilla, milk chocolate, ginger and a sweet peat warmth.
Palate: Stewed orchard fruit, chocolate-covered raisins and orange marmalade, then honey, praline and gingerbread, with black pepper, oak and bonfire smoke.
Finish: Sherry-led, with toffee apple, oak spice and fruitcake.
