About the producer

Biggar Gin Company is a family business owned by two brothers and based at the foot of the Tinto Hills in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The spirits are made in small batches at The Stillhouse in Biggar. This Asian Spiced Rum was the first release in the Biggar Rum Series, alongside the company’s gins.

How it’s made

The rum is built from a white rum blended with white Caribbean rum, which is then flavoured with six botanicals inspired by Asian cooking. Szechuan pepper, allspice and cloves are among those named by the producer. It is unaged, so the spice character stays at the front, and it is bottled at 40% ABV.
