Bowmore 15 Year Old Darkest is an Islay single malt from Bowmore, one of Islay's oldest distilleries, founded in 1779 on the shores of Loch Indaal. Matured in bourbon and sherry casks with its final three years in Oloroso sherry casks, it combines maritime character with a rich, deep colour and a sherried finish, bottled at 43% ABV.
Nose: Dark chocolate, sun-dried fruits and subtle Islay smoke.
Palate: Cedar wood and treacle toffee.
Finish: A complex blend of spice, toffee, sherry and barley.
