Briottet Crème de Pêche Peach Liqueur, 70cl
Briottet Crème de Pêche Peach Liqueur, 70cl
Briottet Crème de Pêche is a peach liqueur from Dijon in Burgundy, made by Maison Edmond Briottet. Bottled at 18% ABV in a 70cl bottle, this Briottet Crème de Pêche peach liqueur offers ripe, juicy stone fruit with a soft floral lift. It is sweet without being cloying, and equally at home chilled on its own or mixed into spritzes, cocktails and desserts.
About the producer
Maison Edmond Briottet was founded in 1836 in Dijon and remains a family business. The house is best known for its crèmes de fruits, which are made with fruit supplied by growers the company works with. Its crème de cassis is the classic base for a Kir, and the range now spans many more fruits, from peach and raspberry to fig and apricot.
How it’s made
Ripe peaches are macerated in very pure neutral alcohol. The infusion is then blended with sugar to balance fruit flavour, sweetness, acidity and alcohol, producing a clear, pale amber liqueur bottled at 18% ABV.
Tasting notes
- Nose: Ripe peach and apricot, with gentle florals, citrus zest and a hint of vanilla.
- Palate: Juicy peach and nectarine, with light apricot and melon notes; rich but not cloying.
- Finish: Smooth and lingering, with a delicate fruity sweetness.
How to enjoy it
Serve chilled or over ice, or add a measure to white wine, crémant or champagne for a peach aperitif. It also works in fruity cocktails and spritzes, and is lovely poured over vanilla ice cream, sorbet or a fruit salad.
