Buffalo Trace is the flagship Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, Frankfort, Kentucky, USA, one of the most historic and decorated distilleries in America. Made from corn, rye and malted barley and matured in new charred oak barrels, it is bottled in small batches from the distillery's middle warehouse floors, where the greatest temperature swings develop deep flavour.
Spicy and sweet on the nose, with caramel, creamy toffee eclairs, cinnamon, rum spice and cereal sweetness. The palate brings brown sugar, toffee apple, sweet oak, custard and oily espresso beans with a touch of chocolate-covered raisins, finishing with good length on sweet spices, cinnamon gum and toffee.
