Bunnahabhain Stiuireadair Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl

Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair (Gaelic for "helmsman", a nod to the distillery's seafaring heritage on Islay's rugged north-east coast) is a core-range expression bottled without an age statement. Distilling since 1881 on the shores of the Sound of Islay, Bunnahabhain is famed among its island peers for producing unpeated single malt, and the Stiùireadair is matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks before being bottled at a robust 46.3% ABV, naturally coloured and non-chill filtered for maximum character.

On the nose, dried fruit and creamy caramel mingle with brine, vanilla, nuts and a touch of spice. The palate is rich and creamy, with dried fruit, sea salt, caramel, nuts and gentle spice, leading to a long, lingering finish of dried fruit. Enjoy neat or with a splash of water to open up the aromas.
