Chairman's Reserve Original Rum, 70cl

Chairman's Reserve is the flagship rum of St Lucia Distillers, the only distillery on the island of St Lucia. The Original expression is a blend of pot-still and column-still rums matured in ex-bourbon oak casks, reflecting the distillery's use of multiple still types to build complexity into a single bottling — a house style that earned it a Gold medal for Best in Class at the 2008 International Wine & Spirit Competition.

Expect a well-rounded, sweet-leaning rum with cooked banana and caramelised fruit on the nose, developing into chocolate, tobacco and gentle oaky vanilla on the palate.

Easy-drinking enough to sip neat or on ice, and rounded enough to hold its own in a classic daiquiri.
