The Cock o' The North Whisky Liqueur is a traditional Scottish liqueur handcrafted in small batches in Aberdeenshire, combining fine single malt Scotch whisky with locally foraged blaeberries (Scottish wild bilberries). The name and the crest on the label recall the historic title borne by the Gordon family of Aberdeenshire, long associated with the region the liqueur is made in.
The nose is fragrant and fruity with a soft malt whisky character, leading to a very smooth, gently weighted palate that's sweet without being sugary — the blaeberry fruit sitting alongside warm malt whisky notes — before a complex, warming, fruity finish. Gold in colour with green highlights, it's a liqueur that showcases its whisky base rather than masking it.
