Compass Box Experimental Grain Whisky, 70cl

Experimental Grain is a limited-edition blended grain Scotch whisky from independent bottler Compass Box, released as a smokier counterpart to the brand's Hedonism grain whisky. It combines column-still grain whiskies, including a peated grain distilled at Loch Lomond, with grain whisky from Cameronbridge and North British, matured across first-fill and recharred casks and bottled at natural colour without chill-filtration.

The nose shows banana, toffee and savoury barbecue smoke with hints of rum and raspberry; the palate is oily with almond and vanilla, finishing on an unusual smoky, pine-cone note. As a one-off release, stock is limited.
