CVNE Monopole Blanco Seco (Unoaked) is a wine from CVNE (Compania Vinicola del Norte de Espana), Rioja DOCa (Haro), Spain.
Bright pale yellow with green rim hints. The nose shows spring-flower aromatics with white fruit notes of pear, apple and white currant. The palate is silky and well balanced between structure and fresh acidity, giving a clean, unoaked white with a lively finish.
The Story: CVNE was founded in 1879 in Haro, Rioja, by two brothers and remains majority family-owned by their descendants, making it one of Rioja's most historic producers. Monopole, first released in the 1910s, is one of Spain's oldest branded white wines.
Serving Suggestion: Good with grilled chicken, lemony pork chops, fresh salads and seafood or tapas; also enjoyable as an aperitif.
Producer: CVNE (Compania Vinicola del Norte de Espana)
