Dailuaine 16 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl

Dailuaine (Gaelic for 'green valley') is a Speyside distillery near Carron founded in 1851, now owned by Diageo; the great majority of its output goes into blends such as Johnnie Walker, so official single malt bottlings are rare. This 16 Year Old is part of Diageo's Flora and Fauna series, which showcases lesser-seen distillery malts, matured here in sherry casks.

The nose brings cheese rind, walnut, orange and toffee, while the palate is full and warming with candied orange, currants and Highland toffee, finishing spicy with a light nutty edge — often suggested as an after-dinner dram.
