Diplomático Planas is a white rum from Diplomático, Hacienda Ocumare, Venezuela. The spirit is matured for around six years before charcoal filtration strips away its colour, keeping the complexity of an aged rum in a clean, mixable white spirit built for modern cocktails.
Vanilla-rich on the nose with fresh coconut, lemon and black tea. The palate brings chewy toffee and funky grassy notes with a lingering fresh chilli spiciness, before a drying, peppery finish with a hint of juicy apricot.
