Domaines Schlumberger Gewurztraminer Les Princes Abbés, Alsace, France, 75cl
Domaines Schlumberger Gewurztraminer Les Princes Abbés, Alsace, France, 75cl
Domaines Schlumberger is Alsace's largest family-owned estate, based in Guebwiller since 1810 and farming some of the region's steepest Grand Cru hillside vineyards. Les Princes Abbés is named after the Prince-Abbots of Murbach who once owned these slopes, and the range showcases each Alsace grape variety in its purest, most expressive form.
This Gewürztraminer is golden yellow with intense green reflections, opening with exotic, tropical aromas that lead into a dense, incisive palate of papaya, grapefruit, pineapple, passion fruit and mango. Gently off-dry and beautifully balanced by fresh acidity, it finishes with great length, strict vivacity and a persistent, exuberant bitterness typical of great Gewürztraminer.
