Don José 14 Year Old Panama Rum, The Golden Cask, 70cl

A limited single-cask rum from Panama, distilled in 2008 and bottled after roughly 14 years of ageing under independent bottler James Eadie's 'Golden Cask Rum' range. Only 224 numbered bottles were produced from this cask, bottled at natural cask strength without chill-filtration.

Tasting notes run from warm vanilla, toasted coconut and caramelised sugar on the nose to buttery toffee, molasses, baking spice and dried tropical fruit on the palate, with a long, smooth, oak-and-nutmeg finish. As a single-cask release, once sold out it will not be replaced with an identical bottling.
