Fettercairn 16 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl

Fettercairn 16 Year Old is the flagship age-statement expression from one of Scotland's oldest working distilleries, founded in 1824 at the foot of the Cairngorms in Aberdeenshire. This is the third annual limited release (2022) in Fettercairn's celebrated 16 Year Old series, finely balanced through a marriage of oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximénez sherry and ex-bourbon casks.

Fettercairn's house style is built around its distinctive copper cooling ring, fitted around the neck of the stills to trickle cold water down the copper and create extra reflux – a technique unique to the distillery that produces a lighter, fruitier new-make spirit. Natural colour and non-chill filtered.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Grilled pineapple, Madagascan vanilla, sugared almonds and soft baking spices.
Palate: Passion fruit, mango, rich honey, Turkish delight and cassia.
Finish: Mandarin citrus, poached pears, light cacao and moist ginger cake.
