Foursquare Spiced Rum, 70cl

Foursquare Spiced Rum comes from the Foursquare Distillery in Barbados, run by the Seale family and widely regarded — under master distiller Richard Seale — as one of the world's most respected rum producers, known for a transparent, no-shortcuts approach to ageing and blending. Their spiced expression applies that same discipline to a spiced style, built from a blend of pot- and column-still Bajan rum.

The nose is spicy and sweet, with notes of nutmeg, peppermint, Christmas cake and marmalade; the palate brings toffee apple, gingerbread and warm baking spice with a touch of bitter orange peel, finishing long, sweet and spiced.

Excellent simply over ice, or in a spiced rum and ginger beer.
