About the producer

Gabriel Boudier was founded in 1874 in Dijon, Burgundy, when Gabriel Boudier took over Maison Fontbonne. The business remains family-owned and is best known for its Crème de Cassis de Dijon, the classic base for a Kir. The house keeps traditional recipes handed down through generations, and uses rotating tanks to improve maceration.

How it’s made

The liqueur is made from distilled dried Ecuadorean bananas, which gives the flavour a concentrated, ripe-fruit depth. Gabriel Boudier favours natural ingredients over artificial flavours, and the sweetness is balanced so the banana stays at the centre of the liqueur.
