Glenmorangie The Lasanta 12 Year Old is a sherry cask-finished Highland single malt from Glenmorangie, matured first in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and then extra-matured for a further two years in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Jerez, Spain. Rich and creamy, it is a warm, spicy and sweet dram bottled at 43% ABV.
Nose: Plum and baking spice supported by milk chocolate raisin, caramel and toasty oak.
Palate: Tart raspberry coulis leads into sherried dried fruit, with orange marmalade, toasted nuts and berry jam, plus brown sugar and cereal notes.
Finish: Silky and long, with oily orange peel, cinnamon and hazelnut praline, rounded off by bitter dark chocolate.
