Havana Club 15 Year Old Gran Reserva is one of the most mature rums in the Havana Club Icónica Collection: a Cuban rum aged for fifteen years, rich mahogany in colour and full-bodied. It brings together dried fruit, prunes and raisins with spicy oak and rich tobacco, followed by a long finish of vanilla, cocoa and coffee – a rum made for slow sipping rather than mixing.

About the brand

Havana Club is produced in Cuba through a joint venture between Pernod Ricard and Corporación Cuba Ron, the national rum corporation. Its rums are created by Cuba’s maestros roneros, the master blenders who oversee every stage from distillation to ageing, and this 15-year-old is aged in the cellars of San José de las Lajas.

How it’s made

Like other Cuban rums, Havana Club 15 Year Old begins with molasses, distilled in column stills to produce a light rum. It is then aged in white oak barrels and blended by the maestros roneros, before further ageing. Fifteen years in cask gives the deep colour, smooth texture and layered fruit and spice.
