Isle of Harris "The Hearach" Oloroso Cask Matured Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl

The Hearach Oloroso Cask Matured is a limited release from the Isle of Harris Distillery in Tarbert, Outer Hebrides — the first legal distillery ever built on Harris. This expression matures the distillery's signature spirit in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts sourced from Bodega José y Miguel Martín in Jerez, Spain, marrying the salt-air character of the Isle of Harris new make with the rich, dried-fruit depth of ex-sherry oak.

Non-chill filtered and free from artificial colouring, it opens with cinnamon, orange peel and cloves alongside gentle green herbal notes and creamy white chocolate. The palate develops wood smoke and walnut shells into dried thyme, burnt orange and vanilla pod, finishing long with leather and liquorice.
