Isle of Raasay Marsala Cask Limited Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl

Isle of Raasay Distillery's Marsala Cask Limited Release is the distillery's first whisky finished in rare ex-Frazzitta Marsala Vergine barriques from Sicily, marrying Raasay's lightly peated house style with the wine cask's influence. Distilled from a blend of peated and unpeated Raasay spirit, it opens with grape must and parma violets on the nose, moving into stewed apple, ginger, maple syrup and balsamic notes on the palate, and finishing long with a trace of gentle smoke.

Raasay Distillery, on the Hebridean island of Raasay near Skye, was the first legal whisky distillery on the island when it opened in September 2017, founded by R&B Distillers. Limited to a run of 12,300 bottles worldwide. Bottled at 50.7% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtered.
