Isle of Raasay "The Draam" Hebridean Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl

The Draam is the flagship single malt from the Isle of Raasay Distillery, the first legal distillery on this remote Hebridean island between Skye and the Scottish mainland, and the first whisky ever legally distilled and matured there. The name comes from the Scots word for a small measure of whisky, fittingly poured "wi' a drama in the making."

Matured across a distinctive combination of first-fill rye whiskey casks, fresh Chinkapin oak, and first-fill red wine casks from Bordeaux, this lightly-peated single malt marries smoky character with rich dark fruit. Expect honeycomb, lemon cheesecake and butterscotch on the nose, developing into peat smoke, dark chocolate, stewed fruit and lemongrass on the palate.
