Bottled in the distillery's signature scale-textured green glass, Mermaid Zest Gin is a sun-drenched, citrus-led twist on Isle of Wight Distillery's multi-award-winning Mermaid Gin. Small-batch distilled and infused at their Ryde distillery, it captures the brightness of an island summer in a single pour.
On the nose, waxy grapefruit and floral bergamot lead over a base of resinous juniper, with a herbal lift of fresh rosemary. The palate is bright and citrus-forward with a gentle sweetness and a subtle savoury, salt-air edge, finishing clean, aromatic and long. Serve simply over ice with a premium Mediterranean tonic, or shake into a refreshing spritz, garnished with a slice of fresh grapefruit or lemon and a sprig of rosemary.
Founded in 2014 by Xavier Baker and Conrad Gauntlett, Isle of Wight Distillery was the island's first distillery, built on their combined brewing and winemaking backgrounds. The team distils slowly in copper column stills, taking only the purest heart of each run, and forages many botanicals from the island's own coastline and gardens. A certified B Corporation since 2022, the distillery bottles Mermaid Zest Gin with a natural cork stopper and fully recyclable, plastic-free packaging.
