Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack is a smoother, lighter-bodied step up from Old No. 7. It is filtered through sugar maple charcoal twice, once before and once after maturation, which is why it is labelled double mellowed. The result is a mellow, full-flavoured Tennessee whiskey with vanilla, caramel and gentle oak spice.
Nose: Lighter and drier oak than Old No. 7, with vanilla, brown sugar, maple and apple.
Palate: Sweet vanilla, stone fruit and apple.
Finish: Subtle oak leading into a smooth, fruity finish with maple and floral honey.
