Kilchoman Loch Gorm 10 Year Old Sherry Cask Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl

Loch Gorm is Kilchoman's flagship sherry cask expression, named after Islay's largest freshwater loch which sits beside the distillery's farm. Fully matured in Oloroso sherry butts and hogsheads sourced from the Jose Miguel Martin bodega in Jerez, this 10 Year Old release layers rich, fruity sherry character over Kilchoman's classic peated, farm-distilled spirit.

Founder Anthony Wills hand-selects each cask for its individual character, marrying them together to create, in his words, "a beautiful balance of rich fruity character with layers of classic Kilchoman, peat smoke and citrus sweetness." Expect dried red fruits, barbecued meats, toasted walnuts and rich peat smoke on the nose, developing into candied orange, tropical fruit, salted caramel and dried prunes on the palate, with warming cinnamon, nutmeg and smoke throughout, and a lasting finish of spice, dark chocolate and liquorice.
