Lochlea Dark Briar Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl

Dark Briar is one of Lochlea Distillery's Single Estate core range expressions, matured across a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry butts alongside port casks. It is an indulgent, richly fruited addition to Lochlea's farm-to-bottle single malt lineup, grown, distilled and matured entirely on the distillery's working farm in Ayrshire.

On the nose it is rich and sweet, with red fruit, pick'n'mix sweets, a touch of vanilla caramel and fresh baking spice. The palate is big, bold and juicy, layered with cherries and sticky plums alongside warming tannins and ginger cake, leading to a long, rich finish of velvety tannins and baking spice.

Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, Dark Briar showcases Lochlea's Lowland character through decadent, multi-cask sherry and port maturation.
