The Macallan has distilled on the banks of the River Spey near Craigellachie since 1824, earning a reputation as one of the world's most collectable single malts through its unwavering commitment to sherry-seasoned oak. This 10 Year Old Sherry Oak, a discontinued expression from Macallan's earlier core range, was matured exclusively in hand-selected sherry casks seasoned in Jerez, Spain, giving the whisky its deep amber colour and richly layered character, bottled at 40% ABV.
