Marqués de Riscal Verdejo, Rueda, Spain, 75cl
Marqués de Riscal Verdejo is a dry white wine from the Rueda denomination in northern Spain, made from the indigenous Verdejo grape. The bottle carries a 100% Organic label. It is a fresh, aromatic Rueda white, with fennel, white flowers and fresh-cut grass on the nose and a lively, smooth palate, and it is easy to pair with fish, shellfish and lighter dishes.
About the winery
Marqués de Riscal is a Spanish bodega whose motto is “love and respect for wine since 1858”. The bodega is based in Rioja and also makes white wines in Rueda. Its estate vineyards, 220 hectares with an average vine age of 25 years, have been certified organic since the 2018 vintage.
How it’s made
After alcoholic fermentation, the wine rests on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks for one to two months, with the lees stirred weekly by bâtonnage using nitrogen. After a short maturation it is bottled in the months following the harvest.

How to enjoy it
