Noilly Prat Original Dry is a French white wine-based vermouth from Noilly Prat, Marseillan, Languedoc, France, made to a recipe dating back to 1813. Two wines are matured separately for a year before a secret blend of herbs and spices is macerated in for three weeks, then rested for a further six weeks to marry the flavours.
A dry, fruity nose brings tangy citrus and berry fruits over a bed of dried herbs. The palate is peppery and dry, very herbal, with pine resin, cedar and a little thyme, leading into a long, complex and very dry finish. The classic choice for a dry Martini.
