Old Pulteney 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the far north coast of Scotland, distilled in the fishing port of Wick, Caithness. Nicknamed "The Maritime Malt", it is matured in hand-selected, air-dried ex-bourbon casks, mostly first-fill American oak, each weathered by the salty sea air. Bright citrus and honey settle over creamy vanilla, with the brininess of the North Sea never far behind.
Nose: Bright citrus and vanilla arrive first, then the unmistakable salt-laden air of Wick.
Palate: Honey and cream steadily deepen into ripe fruit and fresh spice.
