Pusser's British Navy Rum is a dark rum from Pusser's, British Virgin Islands, produced to the original blend recipe once issued to sailors of the Royal Navy by the Admiralty. When the daily rum ration ended in 1970, Pusser's acquired the rights to the historic recipe, reformulating it at 40% ABV for wider distribution while a higher-proof "Gunpowder Proof" version preserves the original navy strength.
Rich aromas of peanut brittle, chocolate raisins, old oak and good sherry lead into a palate of banana, ground clove, ginger root and crunchy brown sugar, with a touch of baklava, finishing on warm caramel and cinnamon.
