Redbreast 12 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey distilled at Midleton from malted and unmalted barley, triple distilled and aged in American bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. It is widely regarded as a benchmark for the single pot still style.
Nose: Nutty, rich and oily, with dried citrus peel, ginger and melon.
Palate: Spicy, with nuts, citrus, hints of marzipan, dried fruits and sherry.
Finish: Long and creamy, with custard and spice.
