From Suntory's House of Suntory comes Roku, a Japanese craft gin created to showcase the character of Japan's four seasons. The name Roku means 'six', a nod to the six distinctively Japanese botanicals that sit alongside eight classic gin botanicals in this elegant, contemporary spirit.
On the nose, delicate cherry blossom and green tea bring a soft floral sweetness, while the palate opens with bright yuzu citrus, juniper and coriander over a gentle backdrop of tea and cherry blossom. Sansho pepper adds a light, tingling spice to the finish. Serve in a highball with premium tonic and a twist of grapefruit or lemon, over plenty of ice, to let its citrus and floral character shine.
Roku is distilled at Suntory's Osaka Distillery, where each of its Japanese botanicals — sakura flower and leaf, yuzu peel, sencha and gyokuro tea, and sansho pepper — is individually distilled to preserve its character before blending with the classic gin botanicals. The result draws on Suntory's long heritage of Japanese craftsmanship in spirits.
