About the brand

Ron Larimar is a craft rum brand distilled in the Dominican Republic and sold by Angus Dundee Distillers. Every bottling in the range is double matured: the rum spends at least five years ageing before being finished in a second type of cask. Alongside this Oloroso expression, the family includes Bourbon Cask, Pedro Ximénez and Peated Single Malt finishes, each bottled at 40% ABV.

How it’s made

The rum is distilled in the Dominican Republic and aged for a minimum of five years, starting in American oak. It is then moved into first-fill Oloroso sherry butts from Andalucía, Spain, for a finishing period that adds dried fruit, toffee and a gentle nuttiness before it is bottled at 40% ABV.
