Santa Teresa 1796 Rum, 70cl

Santa Teresa 1796 is Venezuela's most celebrated premium rum, crafted at the historic Hacienda Santa Teresa using the solera method, blending rums aged between 4 and 35 years and rested for a further two years in a dynamic solera system before bottling at 40% ABV. The nose opens with caramel sweetness, toffee brittle and a touch of pepper, with notes of cooked apple and banana sweets.

The palate is rich and rounded, delivering vanilla, butterscotch, molasses and dark chocolate, with fruity banana-sweet notes and a hint of apple brandy character. The finish is long and fruity, closing on caramel and roasted nuts. Smooth enough to sip neat or over ice, and equally prized in a classic Old Fashioned or Rum Manhattan.
