Tamnavulin Double Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl

Tamnavulin Double Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a modern Speyside expression from the Tamnavulin distillery, "the mill on the hill", set on the banks of the River Livet in Ballindalloch.

This single malt begins its life in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for smoothness, before finishing in seasoned sherry casks that add a rich, fruity depth – a double maturation that has earned it gold medals at the International Spirits Challenge.

• Nose: Rich, warm aromas of apple, toffee and honey, with sweet marzipan and a subtle tang of marmalade.
• Palate: Fresh and mellow, with pear, creamy peaches and pineapple, lifted by a hint of Demerara sugar.
• Finish: Smooth and warming, with a lingering honeyed sweetness and gentle spice from the sherry cask finish.
