Tarquin's The Seadog Navy Strength Gin, 70cl

Tarquin's The Seadog Navy Strength Gin is the bold, navy-strength sibling of Tarquin's Cornish Dry Gin, inspired by the north Cornwall coast and distilled by Southwestern Distillery. Built on 12 hand-selected botanicals, with Kosovan juniper, extra cinnamon, liquorice and fresh orange peel, it has violets added after an overnight maceration. It won World's Best Gin at the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and makes a punchy Martini.

• Nose: Juniper spice and tart citrus lead, followed by cinnamon and soft coriander.
• Palate: Cinnamon at first, then earthiness and pine.
• Finish: Pine and spice.
