About the brand

Kraken is a Caribbean spiced rum brand launched in 2010 and owned by Proximo Spirits. The original Black Spiced Rum is known for its dark colour and its octopus-themed bottle, and the brand has since added a series of flavoured variations, of which this coffee expression is one.

How it’s made

The base is Kraken’s spiced Caribbean rum, flavoured with Arabica coffee. The aim is for the dark, rich taste of coffee to balance the spice in the rum, rather than to sit on top of it. The result is a black, opaque spirit bottled at 40% ABV.
