Named after the legendary sea monster of maritime folklore, The Kraken Black Spiced Rum launched in the UK in 2010 and quickly built a cult following for its bold, dark character. It is a blend of Caribbean rums infused with a proprietary mix of warming spices.
The blend delivers rich, spicy flavour built around notes of vanilla, molasses, cinnamon and clove, resulting in a thick, dark spiced rum with real depth and intensity.
The nose is spicy and rich, with vanilla and toffee apple alongside hints of lime and cinnamon. On the palate it's dark and thick, with molasses, tar, cinnamon, golden syrup, nutmeg and charred oak, leading into a long, very spicy finish.
Serve over ice with cola or ginger beer and a slice of orange, or use as the dark, spiced backbone of tiki-style rum cocktails.
