Whitley Neill Raspberry Gin takes the distillery's handcrafted London Dry gin and infuses it with plump Scottish raspberries, layering juicy fruit character over a traditional botanical base of juniper, coriander and liquorice. It's produced using the same small-batch copper pot stills the Neill family has used for generations, giving this vividly coloured gin real distilling pedigree behind its fruity, approachable style.
The nose is bright and jammy, packed with ripe raspberry and a touch of tart hibiscus. On the palate, sweet summer raspberries take centre stage, balanced by warming coriander seed and a gentle underlying juniper note that keeps things recognisably gin rather than straying into cordial territory. The finish is fruity and moreish, with a light, delicate sweetness that lingers pleasantly.
Founded in 2005 by Johnny Neill, an eighth-generation member of the family behind Greenall's gin, Whitley Neill built its name on distinctive, botanically led gins inspired by his South African roots.
