Yellow Tail Shiraz is a current-release red blended from fruit grown across South Eastern Australia, crafted by the Casella family in their signature approachable, generous style. It is vinified to be everything an easy-drinking Shiraz should be: vibrant, smooth and full of ripe fruit character, bottled at 13.5% ABV under the brand's instantly recognisable label with its bounding kangaroo.
The nose offers concentrated red cherry and plum, layered with notes of vanilla, mocha and warm spice. The palate is rich and smooth, packed with juicy red berries and gentle hints of vanilla and spice that echo the aromas through to a soft, rounded finish. It is a wine built for easy drinking, whether alongside a steak or simply on its own.
Yellow Tail was launched in 2001 by Casella Family Brands, founded decades earlier by Italian immigrant Filippo Casella in Yenda, New South Wales. The brand became one of the fastest-growing wine labels in history, introducing millions of drinkers around the world to approachable Australian wine and remaining, to this day, one of Australia's best-known wine exports.
